Summer Charcuterie Board

Summer Charcuterie Board

The Perfect Summer Fig Charcuterie Board Recipe

August marks a “New Wood” season for fresh figs, aligning our limited-edition Fig launch perfectly with this fruit’s seasonality. We’ve been hungry for more things Fig, so we decided to bring a quick, easy, shareable charcuterie board that includes both sweet and savory treats to the Greenhouse!

Prep Time: 15-20 minutes

Serves: You can make your board any size you'd like! For reference, this recipe serves 5-8 people.

Ingredients:

Cheeses:

  • Brie
  • Goat Cheese
  • Manchego
  • Blue Cheese

Crackers & Bread:

  • Crackers
  • Sliced baguette (optional)

Meats:

  • Salami
  • Soppressata

Nuts:

  • Walnuts
  • Pumpkin seeds (optional)

Fruits and Vegetables:

  • Fresh figs or fig jam
  • Grapes
  • Sliced baby cucumbers

Garnish:

  • Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Honey
  • Mixed olives

Preparation:

Step 1: Choose your board. We recommend using a platter, serving board, or large plate—whatever is available to you!

Step 2: Slice your cheeses into desired sizes and arrange on your serving board. For a vegan option, we recommend a creamy vegan cheese spread.

Step 3: Fold and add the different meats around the board. You can fan them out, or fold them in half. If you’re really fancy, you can create a flower!

Step 4: Add in the fruits! For this fig-inspired board, we included fresh figs sliced in half with some grapes. For a sweeter addition, fill a small glass with honey. It pairs deliciously with a bite of fig and cheese.

Step 5: Fill in the empty spaces with cucumbers, olives, nuts, and crackers or sliced baguette. We used garlic parmesan crackers. For a gluten-friendly option, we used everything-seasoned seed-based crackers.

Step 6: Garnish with fresh rosemary and thyme.

And voilá—a tasty and beautiful charcuterie board ready to enjoy! It's perfect for sharing with friends or family on a summer afternoon or evening.

Remember to have fun with it! There's no wrong way to prepare a charcuterie board. You can get creative using ingredients you like or using what's already in your pantry and refrigerator. You can also prep this a day or two ahead—just remember your crackers could get soft. We recommend holding off on adding those to your board until ready to serve.

Happy fig season! If you're looking for something sweet to add to your skincare routine, look no further than Fig
